Big Bass Bonanza June 6th
By: Glenn Walker
Published Date: 6/7/2010
The first Big Bass Bonanza event of 2010 is in the books and what a day it was. The 32 teams of anglers were greeted with gorgeous weather for the tournament on June 6th. The talk of the morning and leading up to the tournament is that practice for everyone on the Horseshoe Chain of Lakes was tougher than normal, but everyone still thought that it would take a 3 lb. average of 8 fish to win.
The large majority of teams brought in a limit of 8 fish and reported catching a lot of bass in the 13 to 14 ¾ inch range. Teams caught fish both in shallow water and in deep water with no one pattern being prevalent. Come weigh in, the results themselves showed that things on the Chain were tougher than normal with only 20.24 lb. taking the win.
Check out Big Bass Bonanza website for more information on the next event on June 29th on Lake Ida.
