Snag Proof ‘The Industry Leader in Weedless Frogs’ is proud to announce that they’ll be the presenting sponsor of a Snag Proof Open event held on our very own Leech Lake!  This will be the first time that this event has made its way north, but the prestige and following of these events already has many angler’s excited.

This first and hope to be annual event will be August 28^th, with take off at 7 a.m. and weigh in at 3 p.m., at the beautiful Trapper’s Island Resort, located on the southeast side of Leech Lake.  The entry fee per 2-man team is $200 and the event is highlighted by a guaranteed $1,000 big bass award!

Other Snag Proof Open’s, include: the 9^th annual event on the California Delta, 5^th annual on Lake Guntersville and also new this year is an event on the Potomac River.  The hope is to make this an annual event and fun experience for the whole family, year after year.

What makes the Snag Proof Open’s unique is that the only lure permitted in contestant’s boat is any form of a Snag Proof Frog.  Angler’s will have ample opportunities to catch their limit of 4 bass on the multitude of vegetation that Leech has to offer and when it comes to fishing in heavy vegetation, there is no better lure than a Snag Proof Frog!
